The Mailbox

Who knew that one little mailbox could bring such joy to three little boys!

Today I went to Hobby Lobby for the first time ever in my life (I know, that's a whole blog topic in itself). Matthew was with me. We were on a mission to get Valentines Day decor.

You see book club is at my house this weekend and I want it to look festive.

So we found some cheap/cute stuff. Matthew was unusually well behaved so when he asked for a little paper mailbox that cost $3, how could I say no? (and usually I do say no)

Then the big boys came home from school. They decorated the mailbox and brought it to life.



They spent most of the afternoon creating love notes for each other. One would place their creation in the mailbox and holler, "There is mail for someone in the box!"
Then a boy would come and open the mailbox with delight to see his love note from one of his brothers.










It was just so darn sweet.
I love when simple things entertain them (and me) for hours on end.
